T Stands For Pho Noodles with Friends

I want to begin by apologizing if I mislead anyone last week.  I thought I made it clear, but based on several comments, I need to clarify that this candle filled cup and saucer was made by my friend Halle for my birthday and I showed it again for T last week on her birthday.  I believe she sells them, if anyone is interested.

My friend R who doesn't want her photo on the internet and her boyfriend were in town last Thursday, and we went to a restaurant I had never heard of.  Apparently it's relatively new, and they both seem to enjoy it when they come to town.

I hadn't had Vietnamese Noodles for a long time, so I knew this would be a treat.  A combination of Chinese and Vietnamese decorations greeted you when you walked in.

A Koi painting, unique plants,

flower blossoms, and what looked like an artificial poinsettia dotted the place.   Although not a high end restaurant,

the food looked excellent.

Both my friends had a combination beef and pork soup,

while I opted for shrimp noodles.  I had water with lemon, and they each had soft drinks.

Although they both finished their bowls, I couldn't finish mine.  That was a BIG bowl. Luckily, it was as delicious the next day as it was the first time around.

Now it's your turn to share your drink related post today.  Whether it's painting, photography, sewing, digital, collage, scrapbooking, or just a cup, glass, or bottle of your favorite drink, link it below and enjoy others who visit as you visit them for T this Tuesday.  Remember, the photos can be taken any time, and the post can be anything, as long as you can, in some small way, relate it back to your drink.

  2. Thanks for sharing your latest dining adventure with us. I don't think I've ever had pho before, so it was really interesting to see it. I like that it's not just plain noodles--all the veggies and other mix-ins make it personalized and special. Happy T-Day Eve! :)

  10. Wow, those do look like huge bowls of soup--I doubt I could have finished one either, but they look good.

I always enjoy the art and decorations which are always present, even in the smallest "take-out" style restaurant.

My eye caught the white spoon on the side of the bowl. I found 2 of these at a flea market & with their flat bottoms, they are perfect to hold loose beads when I am doing bead embroidery!

  21. Hi, it's me again. I just wanted to answer the question that you asked. Yep, I used the sticky side of the foam tape to stamp, which is what the book recommended. The first couple of impressions (which I did on scratch paper) were "muddled" looking, because the inked stamp still wanted to stick to the paper instead of releasing. But after the first couple of impressions, the stamp lost a bit of its stickiness and worked really well.

Oh I have not had good pho for a while now. Used to have it quite often for lunch when I worked down at Orange County. Glad you liked them. They are really big bowls. I always order the small size.
